Sustainability and Production
Where are Into Gaia pieces made?
Our production is led between Bali, India and Italy. Each piece is handmade by our skilled artisans. We speak with our makers daily. They are paid fairly at their requested wage and on time, and work in safe, respectful and ethical environments.
What materials do you use?
We work with natural, recycled and rescued fabrics including silk, viscose, cupro and premium deadstock textiles. Every fabric is chosen for beauty, quality and durability.
How do you reduce waste?
We cut fabric with care to minimise waste and produce in small, considered runs. Each design is created in limited quantities so nothing is made without purpose.
We also launch new collections through small test drops. We listen to our customers and continue producing only the styles that resonate, which reduces overproduction and keeps creation aligned with our community.
Do you make clothing in large runs?
No. We never mass produce. Each piece is made in small drops to honour our commitment to sustainability and slow fashion.
How does your community influence production?
We are a community led brand. Our Gaia Goddesses are the essence of what we do. Their feedback and values shape our collections and direction.
Our Ethical Promise?
We stand strongly against the exploitation of workers, which remains common in fashion. Every Into Gaia piece is handmade with intention and care by artisans who are treated with respect, paid fairly and supported in safe working environments.
Please bear with us as our pieces take time to create. Each garment is made slowly, with love and precision, in honour of the people and the process behind it.
Product Care
How should I care for my garment?
- Hand wash in cold water or use a delicate cycle in a mesh bag
- Avoid bleach and tumble drying
- Dry flat or hang away from direct sunlight
Caring for your garment preserves the fabric, finish and fit so it lasts beautifully over time.
Gaia Giving
What is Gaia Giving?
Gaia Giving supports small, community led organisations that protect the planet and empower local people. A portion of profits from selected collections is donated to small non profits supporting women, the planet and animals.
